Dear NBR:
I am sorry that this letter took so long to get written and get to you, but here it is finally!! I did call you the same day that you notified my mother you had located my bike and left a message with you at work. Anyway, I cannot even think of any words that would adequately express my gratitude to you for all of your help in finding and recovering my bicycle. After my bike was stolen from the basement of my apartment building in December, I never thought that I would ever see it again. It was your efforts in contacting my mother, after receiving word that my bike may have been stolen and was at a bike shop in Maryland, that made all the difference in recovering my bike.
I am so glad that I registered with the National Bike Registry after buying my new bike last year and that I actually put your stickers all over my bike. Even though some of the stickers were removed after the bike was stolen, there were enough stickers left on the frame to let the bike shop know I had registered with NBR. I never thought that I would ever need the services of the National Bike Registry and hesitated about signing up because of the $25 lifetime membership fee. However, paying that $25 to join was the best move I ever made because it ultimately saved me the cost of replacing my stolen bike.
I was amazed that the National Bike Registry was actually able to track down my stolen bike and contact me, even thought I had never bothered to notify NBR that it had been stolen. I did not contact NBR because I was certain that my bike would never, ever be found, and that even if it would, there was no way that the National Bike Registry could help me find it. Well, I sure am glad that I was proved wrong. Without your intervention I never would have recovered my bike. I have told all my friends with bikes about what NBR did for me and urged all of them to register their bikes with with your service. I don't know that I would have done without NBR.
Since mere words alone are insufficient to express my appreciation, all I can do is THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all your help and dedication. If there is anything I can ever do for NBR, I would be more than willing.
Sincerely,
Kimberely R.
